Slots Factor Tournament is Underway

Tsogo Sun's third annual Slots Factor tournament is underway and slots enthusiasts across the country will play for a share in the more than R2.4 million prize pool. The winner will take home a cool R1 million guaranteed prize with other winners sharing the remainder. The tournament will take place across all 14 of Tsogo Sun's casinos, giving players from across the country a chance to compete.

Qualifying Rounds Have Begun

The Tsogo Sun slot tournament started on July 20, 2015 and the qualifying rounds will continue for eight weeks until September 13. These have started at Goldfields Casino in Welkom. They will run daily from 12:00 to 22:00. In order to qualify to play, individuals will need to register at the Slots Factor Tournament Bank. Players will receive cards that must be used when registering and allows you to pay the R100 buy-in fee to enter the qualifying rounds at Goldfields Casino.

Competitors can also choose from packaged buy-ins, such as R200 for two tournament entries plus R50 free play at the casino or R500 for five tournament entries plus R150 free play at the casino.

Becoming a Winner

Once the qualifiers have played, the players in the top two position on the leaderboard each day will be awarded free play and the top 50 players will be awarded a position in the semi-finals which will play on September 19 without having to play off in the finals of the individual casinos. The finalist from the semi-finals will compete in the finals which will take place at Durban's Suncoast Casino on September 26.

The winner of the entire tournament will take home a guaranteed R1 million cash prize with the remaining R1.4 million shared between the runners up.

"Slots are the simplest and most popular of the casino games and with such a low buy-in, great returns are inevitable," commented Dennis de Beer, General Manager at Goldfields Casino.

"The only objective is to win the jackpot while competing with other slot machine fans all over the country."

Last year's winner, a representative of Goldfields Casino, Janet Barrows from Jan Celliers Park in Welkom, became a millionaire when she placed first on the leaderboard in the finals and won the tournament.
